Scouts & Guides training camp organized at Changlang

Itanagar: The first ever Tritiya Sopan Preparatory camp for Scouts and Guides Training Camp was organised at the Innao Government Higher Secondary school (GHSS), Changlang with active participants from five government schools from 20th 24thNov last. The inaugural flag ceremony was done on Nov 20th last by the Innao GHSS, Principal cum District Assistant Commissioner, (Bharat Scouts & guides), M Tato who appealed the students to avail all sorts of benefit during the five days training camp for physical and mental development. Total 48 scout and 46 guides from five government schools namely- Diyun GHSS, Innao GHSS, Gauampur Government Secondary School (GSS), Sompai GSS and Dumpather GSS participated along with the five scoutmasters.

Under the instructions of District Training Officer (DTO) and Principal GHSS Innao, Moli Tato the five days training camp was offered to the students. During the camp, there were activities designed to make every student independent and disciplined. The basics of everyday routine of morning wake-up habit and exercise and outdoor skill development activities like learning basic hiking, life-saving tips. And camp also offered tips on how to deal at the time of emergency and rescuing person. The writing, cultural programme and other competitions were also organized.

The students interacted with their scoutmasters, whereby they were further educated at equipping themselves to face tough situation and challenges. The event culminated with a certificate ceremony presided over by chief guest EAC Diyun, Jacob Tabing on Nov 24thlast.
