SCR, NCR in Railway cricket semis

GUWAHATI, March 21:  Two good knocks from Sunil Kr Jain (110) and Akshay CK (75) went in vain as their side RWF lost to SCR by 71 runs in the 61st Inter Railway Cricket tourment match held at the Barsapara cricket stadium here today. In the other match, held at NFRSA stadium, Maligaon,  NCR registered  8 wickets victory against  DLW. JR Singh (84) of winning team played a crucial role with the bat and guided  NCR to victory. With these wins both the teams entered into the semi fils.

Brief score: Barsapara ground- SCR  401-5 (90 Overs), RWF 330  (80.2 overs), Sunil Kr Jain 110,  Akshay CK 74, Jothan R  41, V Cheluvaraj 30,  B Sudhakar 5-75.

NFRSA ground: Maligaon: DLW 186, NCR 189-2 ( 51.1 Overs ), JR Singh 84, Sandeep Yadav 43, Md. Arif 26.
