Scribe arrested for trafficking brown sugar in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh, May 10: Dibrugarh police, in its bid to make a drugs-free Dibrugarh, on Tuesday arrested a so-called jourlist of Aruchal Pradesh while he was trafficking brown sugar in the town. The police recovered a sizeable amount of brown sugar and a press identity card issued by Dawnlit Post , a newspaper published from Itagar , Aruchal Pradesh. The arrested jourlist later has been identified as Rahul Verma, (30), a resident of Santipara, PN Road here. During interrogation arrested Rahul confessed that he used to traffic brown sugar to Aruchal Pradesh. The Superintendent of Police, Beer Vikram Gogi stated, “Based on his confessiol statement, efforts are on to arrest other drug dealers/traffickers and drug abusers of the district and its adjoining region.”
