HAMREN, Feb 8: A meeting of the District Press Club of Karbi Anlong (DPCKA) was held at Diphu on Wednesday at Forest Central  Range Investigation Bungalow (IB). Longsing Teron, the newly-appointed president of Jourlist Association Federation of Assam (JAFA) presided over the meeting where all the media persons of Karbi Anglong were present.  In the meeting the media persons expressed their views about the problems faced by the media fraternity in Karbi Anglong, especially security issues. After discussing all the issues, the meeting resolved that there was need for immediate formation of District Press Club of Karbi Anglong, a platform for the media fraternity to be unified and stand together in such situations. The meeting selected Kiri Ronghang as a president, Danielson Bey as secretary Kalasi Hanse and Honbasa Teron as office secretaries of the organization. Longsing Teron, president JAFA, Sanju Bora and Nogen Bora will be advisers of the District Press Club of Karbi Anglong.
