Sec 144 CrPC clamped in Dhubri district

DHUBRI, July 24:  Apprehending breach of peace, Dhubri additiol district magistrate, Imul Hussain promulgated section 144 CrPC prohibiting assembly of five and more person in public places, carrying lethal weapons, firearms and dao, taking out rallies and holding meetings across the district. However, law enforcing agencies, including police, army and other para-military forces, have been exempted from the purview of the order, a press release stated.
