Sec 144 CrPC promulgated

Dibrugarh, Jan 30: Keeping problems of sound pollution arising out of rampant use of loud speakers among the people in general and examinees of forthcoming HSLC and Higher Secondary Examition in particular, in view, the Additiol District Magistrate has promulgated Sec.144 of  Cr.P.C  in the entire district on January 30 , prohibiting playing of loud speaker, with immediate effect.

Necessary legal steps will be taken against violation of the prohibitory order in any form under section 188 of Indian Pel Code, a DIPRO press communiqué stated.
