Sec 144 imposed in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, May 18: To ensure peaceful conduct of counting of votes on May 19, the district magistrate, Chirang, Rupak Kr. Mazumdar, by an order, has imposed section 144 Cr. PC in the district on Thursday. The order prohibits the purchase, sale and consumption of liquor during counting day, use of fire crackers and victory procession by the political parties.
