SHILLONG, Oct 7: The second leg encounter between Shillong Lajong FC and Rangdajied United FC in the Shillong Premier League today concluded as a goalless draw at the JN Stadium, here today

The first half was an intense affair of tight defending and strong tackles from both sides. There were not much chances created on either end with silly mistakes occurring on many occasions.

Rangdajied United were threatening in front with their foreign recruit from Nigeria, while they also held off Lajong’s attack strongly at the back with the presence of their Brazilian Centre Back.

Lajong’s young boys were missing the services of Captain Rupert Nongrum due to suspension and regulars like Shaiborlang and Redeem due to minor injuries. However, the Reds welcomed back goalkeeper Vishal Kaith who did well to keep a clean sheet.

The second half was more open as both teams were venturing in attack eager to take the lead. Even though Lajong did not have a great game, they worked hard to press forward with a lot of passes and possession of the ball but did not do enough to earn three points.
