Second phase of RPRS to kick off in Dibrugarh district

DIBRUGARH, April 1: The second phase of State Government sponsored Rajior Padulit Raijor Sarkar (People’s government in people’s door step) will kick off in 93 villages under seven development blocks in Dibrugarh district on April 4, April 6 and April 7.

Meanwhile the district administration has completed all necessary preparation to make the programme a success.

The topic of the second phase of RPRS is ‘Social security and women empowerment’. Discussions are to be held on  to create awareness among the people on various welfare and development schemes as implemented by Civil Supplies, Silk and Handloom, Labour and Employment, Panchyat and village development, Education and Social Welfare Departments. A total of 31 teams under a senior officer have been constituted who will interact directly on various government projects with the people of 31 gaon panchayats during the three-day programmes. The programme will start at a public places under panchayats with Safai Abhijan under Chief Minister’s Nirmal aru Seuj Asom Abhijan and tree plantation. The main highlights of the second phase of RPRS are the steps to be taken in settlement of all applications submitted during first phase of RPRS, reading out the messages of the Chief Minister and Chef Secretary of the State, semir on the topic and receiving public application

The DIPRO press communiqué revealed that 13,729 public complaints and grievances as received in the first phase of RPRS have been settled. The district administration has organized special quiz competitions among teege girls and mother groups to mark the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner, MS Manivann has sought people’s participation for success of all programmes.
