Section 144 Cr. PC promulgated in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Dec 21: The Kokrajhar District Magistrate Bibekanda Choudhury has promulgated an order under section 144 Cr. PC prohibiting assembly of five or more persons, taking out processions, shouting slogans, organizing rallies, dhars, demonstrations in any public place, pillion riding, use of full mask helmets by riders, use of tinted glass in vehicles, use of microphones in outdoor without permission, carrying of explosive substances, weapons and ammunitions of any kind along with procurement, storage, sale,  purchase and use of crackers or fireworks. However, this prohibitory order will not be applicable to children below 12 years, women, senior citizens, Executive Magistrates, police personnel, army and paramilitary forces. This order is placed ex-parte in view of urgency in maintence of peace and tranquility in the district and it has come into force from December 21 until further order.
