Section 144 imposed at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

Morigaon, Jan 9: To protect the animals of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary from sound pollution caused by music played by picnickers, and to maintain law and order, Morigaon Additiol Deputy Commissioner has imposed prohibitory order under 144 IPC at Pobitora. The prohibitory order has been imposed against the playing of musical instruments so that nobody can enter inside the grazing reserve without taking permission. On the other hand, the order has been imposed to maintain commul harmony in the sanctury. The prohibitory order has been enforced with effect from December 29 and it will remain until further order.
