Section 144 imposed in border areas

Joysagar, May 27: Sivasagar district administration has imposed  Section 144 IPC in the bordering areas of Assam-galand and it will come into effect from June 1 for three months.

The areas included are Gelakey, Bihubar, Haluwating, ginimora, Borshill, Porbatpur and a part of zira and Simaluguri. On the other hand, the Executive Magistrate of Charaidew district, has also imposed Section 144 IPC in the bordering areas of Assam and Aruchal Pradesh.  Sources revealed that the government,  keeping in view the disturbing situation of law and order in the State and also the increasing activities of the various rebel organizations, decided to impose Section 144 IPC and partial night curfew will also be in function in such areas.
