Section 144 promulgated in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), November 15: The Golaghat district Additiol Magistrate promulgated Section 144 in the Golaghat district from Tuesday.

The district Additiol Magistrate issued order to promulgate Section 144 to maintain law and order and prohibit any kind of procession within hundred metres near NRL, ONGC like oil fields. In the order it has been prohibited to carry out protest rally, dhar programme, meeting, gathering of five persons and above, postering and wall writing.

Besides, collecting of dotion, printing of leaflets of party or associations, riding of motorcycle without wearing helmet, use of black glass in cars, selling vegetables, sweets, fish-meat in an open place and carrying and use of arms except NCC, CRPF and police officials are strictly prohibited in Golaghat.
