Section 144CrPC promulgated

SHILLONG, April 2: The District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills has promulgated an order under section 144 CrPC prohibiting the killing of fishes in all major rivers and streams within the district by illegal means and also undertaking any kind of activity which will cause danger to the aquatic and human life.
