Security beefed up in Tinsukia

From our Correspondent
TINSUKIA,  July 27: Security in and around Tinsukia has been beefed up following recovery of an IED and killing of an ULFA militant in the wake of Independence Day celebration. Police have launched extensive operation to trace few militants who have reportedly sneaked into the district for subversive activities. Meanwhile, autorickshaws, many of which are unlicensed and plying illegally, have withdrawn from the road, which has otherwise improved traffic congestion in the town.
