Security meet at msai

Itagar, April 30: Aruchal Pradesh Eastern Zol Security Coordition meeting was held in msai on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by the Superintendent of Police of seven districts of Eastern Range of Aruchal Pradesh and also by the officers of Army, Assam Rifles, IRBN, SIB and CRPF deployed for CI operations in the region.

The participants of the meeting deliberated on various underground activities, adequate deployment of security forces along the Aruchal-Assam, galand and Myanmar boundary and also discussed the prevailing general law and order scerio, an official communiqué said here today. Apur Bitin, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Eastern Range) in his address stressed for building public confidence. He also urged for sensitization of police and other security force officers and personnel on protection of human rights in terms of tiol Human Rights Commission guidelines and Supreme Court directives.

He also emphasised to ensure security of general public from all kinds of anti-social elements in their respective jurisdictions and areas of responsibility.

msai DC R K Sharma urged for close co-ordition between the civil police, IRBN, Central Para-military forces, Army and district administration to maintain peace and security in their respective areas.

He also urged for control of drug mece prevalent in the region by way of strict vigil over entry and exit routes, the communiqué added.
