Security personnel's excess comes to the fore

ITAGAR, Feb 3: The excesses of security personnel - despite denials from the capital complex SP - have surfaced again with IRBn personnel forcibly entering the Pub De Blues restaurant-cum-bar here through its backdoor around 10 pm on January 31. The bar’s proprietor, Tagru Punung, has lodged an FIR with the police station here, accusing IRBn constables M Kino, G Mengnia, J Yekar and C Boo Do, led by SI J Lollen, of misbehaving with female attendants and slapping a male attendant for no reason. The bar’s staffers were attending to the Blues’ cultural team which had returned after performing at Nirjuli, and entry was restricted to others. The registered bar strictly follows guidelines and permits only adults inside after 9 pm, as per its approved rules, which include closure on every last day of the month, the FIR said.
