Security tightened for ATP World Tour Fils

London, Nov 15: Enhanced security measures will be deployed at the ATP World Tour Fils set to kick off in London’s O2 Are on Sunday, following the Paris terror attacks, the organisers said. “The O2 Are already has enhanced security in place and tourment preparations are continuing as normal. Venue security is monitored at all times to ensure the safety of all our visitors,” the organisers said in a statement on Saturday.

“Following the events overnight, we have reviewed security operations in place around this year’s ATP World Tour Fils,” the statement said.

It also added that no food or drink will be allowed into the are and all bags will be searched.  No bags larger than a small laptop bag or handbag will be permitted in the are during the tourment.

The season-ending file features world’s top eight players and will run till November 22.  At least 127 people were killed and over 200 injured as terrorists unleashed mayhem in six crowded areas of Paris on Friday night. IANS
