Security tightened in Hamren ahead of CM's visit

Donkamokam, February 9: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will be arriving at Hamren on February 11. Sources said that during his visit, the Chief Minister will declare the West Karbi Anglong district officially, announced during last year’s Independence Day celebration. A new Deputy Commissioner will be appointed, added sources. Hectic preparations are on in Hamren for the Chief Minister’s visit and security has been beefed up. The Chief Minister will also address a large gathering at Rongbong Ronghang playground. HAD Minister Khorsing Engti, CEM KAAC Tuliram Ronghang, MLAs and EMs of KAAC are expected to accompany the Chief Minister.
