Semir focuses on safety on train operation

GUWAHATI, September 25: A semir on ‘safety on train operation’ was held at Dibrugarh coaching depot chaired by Aneet Dulat, Divisiol Railway Mager, Tinsukia, stated a press release.

In the semir all senior supervisors of Electrical, Mechanical, Sigl & Telecom, Civil Engineering, Operating, Security & Medical departments participated. Different departments has different role to play for safe train operation. For safe operation of trains, major for technical departments like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering & Sigl & Telecom plays major role for keeping fit and safe of equipments necessary for safe train operation. Operating department then operates to run trains as per set procedure of operation so that train running is safe and secured.

The train operation and maintence involves lots of procedures and maintence practices. Many a times during train operation small mistakes are made at various levels that may lead to incidences and such incidences may lead to an accident.

In the semir all departmental officers spoke on safety aspect of train operation and maintence practices including Divisiol Railway Mager. Supervisors participated in the semir also spoke about various problems faced by them during train operation.

Aneedt Dulat, Divisiol Railway Mager lauded the efforts of all supervisors and announced that anyone who would bring any system failure/lapse to notice of administration would be rewarded suitably at Divisiol level and those suggesting improvements in system would be recommended for higher level reward at HQ level.
