Semir on conflict reporting held

MORIGAON, November 16:  The Morigaon district administration, in association with Morigaon District Jourlist Association (MDJA), on Wednesday observed tiol Press Day at Morigaon Press Club.

The programme started with tribute to all the martyrs who laid down their lives for social reformation through writings. The programme was conducted by Birinchi Deka, vice-president, MDJA. Thereafter Sunita rzari, DIPRO, Morigaon and the members of Morigaon District Jourlist Association felicitated the invited guests.

A semir on the topic ‘Reporting from conflict area and challenge for media’ was also held and it was presided over Birinchi Sarma, president of MDJA, which was conducted by Kalpataru Choudhary, secretary, MDJA. Attending the programme as the chief guest, Aminur Rahman, Assistant Session Judge, Morigaon delivered a speech.

 Swapneel Deka, Morigaon Superintendent of Police (SP) spoke about tiol Press Day. Earlier, Saibur Rahman, principal secretary of Tiwa Autonomous Council, delivered the iugural speech in the programme. Besides, Bubumoni Goswami, chairman of MASS, spoke on the importance of tiol Press Day.
