Semir on GST held

Dibrugarh, April 3:A one- day tiol semir on GST (Goods and Service Tax), a joint initiative of DHSK College, MDKG College and DHSK Commerce College in technical collaboration with Institute of Cost Accountant of India, Kolkata and CMA, Delhi and academic collaboration with Assam College Teachers’ Association was held at the college campus.

The day begin with formal meeting and was attended by the Commissioner of Tax, Government of Assam, AnuragGoel. In his speech, he explained in details about the implementations of GST and how it would help all the sectors as a whole. He also said that GST was the one-tion, one tax concept which would help the tion in economic uplift.

Attending the semir session,  Deputy Commissioner LayaMadduri lauded the efforts of the Principals of  these premier colleges of Dibrugarh for holding such semir on burning topic like GST.

 A souvenir on GST was also iugurated jointly  by Principal, DHSK College Dr.SashikantaSaikia, Principal, DHSK  Commerce College, Dr. KMBhagawati, Principal, Monohari Devi Kanoi Girls  College, Dr. D. K. Bhuyan, Chief Mager (Fince) BCPL, PK Chand and GST expert from Hyderabad BM Gupta. Additiol Commissioners of Tax, M. Acherjya andSandip Kumar attended the technical session as resource persons.

The whole programme was co-ordited by Dr DipankarSarma, MDKG College, and vote of thanks was offered by Dr. J Konwar, DHSK Commerce College.
