Semir on HADR by IAF

SHILLONG, Feb 29: A two-day semir on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) organised by the Eastern Air Command (EAC), at Upper Shillong ended today. Briefing mediapersons at the end of the semir, Air Marshal C Hari Kumar, AOC-in-C, EAC said that the northeast has its own challenges purely because of its terrain, weather and reduced availability of infrastructure. “Our focus was on how to optimise and make humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efficient,” Air Marshal Kumar said.
