Semir on promotion, preservation and propagation of Kuruk language

DIMAKUCHI, Dec 13: A semir will be held at Sikaribungalow in Udalguri district on promotion, preservation and propagation of Kuruk language, literature and cultural identity. A reception committee was formed recently where more than 200 students congregated for the upcoming Kuruk Sahitya Sabha which will be organized by All Kuruk Students’ Union central committee in collaboration with Udalguri district committee from February 3 to February 5 at Sikaribungalow Church playground. Albis Ekka, Lecturer, Dimakuchi College will be the chairman, Anthony Tirkey will be working president, Philiman Minj will be general secretary, Anima Tirkey will be assistant secretary and Zacherius Toppo will be chief convener of the reception committee. Representatives from different Adivasi organizations were present and extended their full support and cooperation for the success of the semir. Kuruk Sahitya Sabha representatives were also present.
