Semir on role of newspapers held

BILASIPARA, March 10: Under the aegis of Pratidhwani, an Assamese weekly newspaper, organized a semir at Bilasipara sub-divisiol Public Library on Wednesday on the topic “Socio-economic condition of Bilasipara Sub-Division and the role of newspaper” with Abdul Karim Khan in the chair. Bellal Hussain, secretary of yeralga Press Club and the editor of the weekly explained the objectives of the semir. Among others the semir was addressed by Yousuf Ali Ahmed, ex-MLA, Jagadanda Barkalita, advocate and the president of the Bilasipara Senior Citizens Forum, Dayal Paul, jourlist, Dr Kanulal Das, chairman of Red Cross Society, Bilasipara District branch, Dr Haricharan Das, librarian of Bilasipara College.
