Semir on sports jourlism held

TANGLA, Sept 16: As a part of the drive towards popularizing sports jourlism as a medium of skill development for contributing to the human resources of the State,  a day-long semir on sports jourlism was held at the conference hall of the office of the SDO (Civil), Bheraon subdivision on Friday.

The semir titled ‘Sports Jourlism as a medium for Skill Development for the Human Resources of Assam’, was organized by Assam Sports Jourlist Association in collaboration with State-level Advisory Committee (Students and Youth Welfare), Government of Assam and in association with Bhergaon civil administration and Bhergaon Press Club. The semir was aimed at popularizing sports jourlism among the young generation and for the promotion of games and sports and healthcare in villages.

Earlier, a spot sports news-writing competition marked the beginning of the semir which was iugurated by DN Hazarika, SDO (Civil), Bhergaon subdivision followed by the semir on sports jourlism. Swapnil Barua, Commissioner, Sports and Youth Welfare and Industries of Assam (Rtd) iugurated the semir..
