Semir to be held on role of Priya Gupta in Parliament

Bongaigaon, July 21: Along with other trade unions and federations throughout India, North East Frontier Railway Mazdoor Union Bongaigaon, New Bongaigaon (BG) and New Bongaigaon (Workshop) branch will celebrate the 94th birthday of Com Priya Gupta, the legendary leader of trade unions and former MP. Phanidhar Das, assistant general secretary of NFRMU, said that in this regard they would organize a semir on July 23 at New Bongaigaon Railway Institute. “The title of the semir will be ‘Role of Priya Gupta in Indian Parliament’. Several noted person including Rakhal Das Gupta, president of All India Railwaymen’s Federation, Dr T K Bahadur, Professor of Bongaigaon College, Professor Bhabani Prasad Sarma of Bongaigaon College, RB Ray Sarma, retired Vice-Principal of Bongaigaon College, Mukunda Sarma, retired Principal of Birjhora HS School, Hareswar Das and S N Brahma Choudhury, both senior lawyers will be present in this semir,” he said.
