The senior citizens apprehended outburst of people’s anguish which was mentioned in the memorandum. “If no action is taken by the PWD (R), the situation may go out of control and the senior citizens of the area will in no way be held responsible for it.” On behalf of the sigtories, Prof. Dilip Kumar Dey and Niharendu Purkayastha met the Deputy Commissioner who gave a patient hearing to them and assured positive action. Similar memorandum was submitted to the Executive Engineer of PWD (R) concerned with copy endorsed to the Minister of PWD, Parimal Shuklabaidya.
