Senior citizens' forum formed

GAURISAGAR, March 31: With a view to solve the various problems faced by the senior citizens in the adjacent area of Gaurisagar a senior citizens’ forum was formed recently called Gaurisagar Jestha garik Mancha. In this connection a public meeting was held at Gaurisagar Girls’ High School. Tukheswar Borthakur, senior citizen and retired Principal, Gaurisagar Higher Secondary Industrial Institute presided over the meeting. Earlier Soneswar Borah, convenor of the meeting explained the objective. In the meeting a 41- member committee was constituted headed with Anda Baruah as president and Soneswar Borah as secretary. A number of senior citizens hailing from Dikhowmukh, Hatighuli, Bhatiapar, Charing, Phulpanichiga took part in the meeting.
