Senior jourlist felicitated

DEMOW, Dec 28: Under the patroge of Demow Press Club, a felicitation programme was organized in the auditorium of Demow Press Club on Wednesday. A general meeting was held which was presided over by Anil Kumar Dey, president of Demow Press Club. Ajay Kumar Gogoi, secretary of Demow Press Club spoke about the aims of the meeting. Lalit Deori, teacher in Demow Higher Secondary School, Arun Sarma, senior citizen, Omprakash Agrawalla, Jagdish Agrawalla, both members of Marwari Yuba Manch, Barun Bikash Phukan, president of Demow Rural Mandal Yuba Morcha of Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP), Manju Ali, coach of Demow Handball Club, along with other dignitaries gave the welcome speech in the meeting.

In the meeting, Shekhar Jyoti Dowari, a local correspondent who recently won the Best Outstation Reporter in the Pride East Award, 2017, was felicitated by the members of the Demow Press Club in the auditorium of Demow Press Club on Wednesday with gamosa and certificate. In the felicitation programme, the local organizations of Demow and the leaders of Demow Rural Mandal Yuba Morcha of Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) felicitated Shekhar Jyoti Dowari with gamosa and certificate.
