Sensation prevails over suspected murder of woman

Golaghat, July 23: Sensation prevailed on Saturday at Bokultol Barhoichuk area under Kamarbandha Police Station in Golaghat when a woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances. According to sources, Juli Devi Saikia from Jorhat had married Anupam Saikia six months back. She was found in a critical condition near a pond on Saturday. She was rushed to KK Civil Hospital in Golaghat but she died on the way to the hospital. Local people alleged that Juli and her husband Anupam were having marital problems and they were often seen quarrelling with each other. Also local people alleged that illicit liquor business was going on in Anupam’s home. Meanwhile, the parents of Juli Devi Saikia alleged Anupam and his family of murdering their daughter and lodged an FIR at Golaghat Police Station in this regard.
