Sensitisation programme on climate change held

DOOMDOOMA, July 1: The Assam Science Technology &

Environmental Council (ASTEC) in collaboration with Doomdooma College organized a sensitization programme on “Bio-diversity and Climate Change” in the college premises here recently.

Various competitions including essay writing, drawing and extempore speech competitions were organised in two categories among the students of Class IX to degree level. The event which saw participation of large number of students belonging to various educatiol institutions under

Doomdooma Revenue Circle was anchored by Gitirekha Dutta Mahanta, Assistant Co-orditor and Assistant Professor of the Botany Department of the college.

Two best competitors from each category will qualify to participate in the State Level programme to be held at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra from July 2 to

4, the Co-orditor of the programme and Associate Professor of Botany department Manoj Dutta stated this.
