Separate cell for North East community in Delhi

NEW DELHI, Aug. 31: The Delhi government will set up a separate North East India cell and monitoring Committe. The decision has been the by the Aam Aadmi Party government after a delegation of members of the North Eastern states residing in Delhi meeting with the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on Monday.

The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister on their specific demands which includes the formation of a separate cell for North East Indian culmites, residing in Delhi.

The government of GNCT issued a statement after the meeting said that the Chief Minister heard all their demands and problems faced by the community in Delhi.

Kejriwal agreed to the demand of setting up of a “North East India Support Cell and Monitoring Committee”, to have a better resolution of any kind of problems faced by North East India community

“We will set up the cell immediately to have a better coordition and resolution of your issues. The cell will look into all your problems and demands, we will put people who understand your problems in the cell,” Kejriwal said to the delegation. (ANI)
