Sere maintains lead in rankings

Madrid, July 27: American tennis player Sere Williams, with 13,191 points, held on to the lead in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings released on Monday. The rankings were unchanged this week as Russia's Maria Sharapova was second followed by Romania's Simo Halep, reports Efe.

The rankings are as follows:

1. Sere Williams (US) 13,191 points

2. Maria Sharapova (Russia) 6,490

3. Simo Halep (Romania) 5,151

4. Petra Kvitova (Czech) 5,000

5. Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark) 4,910
