Seven injured in road mishap

Dibrugarh, August 29:  Seven persons were injured in a road accident when a brand new Tata Winger  had a head-on collision with a Tinsukia-bound  Eon car having registration number AS-23 N 4199, at Chabua on Sunday. The injured were initially treated at Chabua and later referred to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) for specialized treatment. According to AMCH sources, the condition of four injured persons is stated to be critical. The injured persons who are undergoing treatment at AMCH are Binto Proja (26), Safiqul Haque (35), Arjun Proja (18), Prasenjit Moily (38), Ajit Proja (18) and Sher Singh (37) and driver of the TATA   winger, Tankeswar Das (45), an inhabitant of Panitola. According to eyewitness, the  Tinsukia-bound EON car carrying six persons was coming from Biswath Chariali and had a head-on collision with the TATA winger of Gargo Motors which was moving towards Tezpur.
