HAFLONG, May 7: At least nine dwelling houses at Mosodiasa village in Langting constituency of N C Hills Autonomous Council were damaged while one among these houses was uprooted completely by strong wind and storm on Sunday. The storm on Sunday night lasted for few hours throughout the district of Dima Hasao causing damage in several areas. The villagers urged upon the authority concerned to respond to such natural calamities and to take steps to provide relief to the victims. Last month also several houses were damaged due to storm in the Langting area, rendering several families homeless.
