Several incidents of crime reported in State

SHILLONG, May 12: Police informed that on May 10 it is reported that unknown miscreants broke the glass pane covering the statue of Jesus Christ at IB Junction Byrnihat (RB).

In another incident on the same day, police at around 9 am, during mine raid at Umshong Area East Khasi Hills (EJH) district, Magistrate and Police detected recovered / seized one hundred eighty gelatin sticks and ninety two detotors from one abandoned coal camp.

Police informed that one Stanly Kurbah of Mawlai Nongkwar Block-13, Shillong on May 10, lodged a complaint that around 1 am, his employee apprehended one Pynshailang Kharmawlong (19) and two juveniles aged sixteen and seventeen, along with one local taxi (ML-10A-5098) and five jerkins containing Diesel oil from their possession.

On May 10 around 1 am, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero Camper vehicle (ML-10A-3827) belonging to Eric Kevenson Makri from Umjarasi village under Nongpoh PS (RB).

Meanwhile, Winner Berrdy Swer on May 10 lodged a complaint that he received anonymous phone call in which the caller claimed himself to be staff of RBI and asked for ATM details. On May 10, the complaint found that Rs. 49,000 has been withdrawn from his account.

In a road incident on May 9 around 8.35 pm, during vehicle checking Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-04A-5418) driven by one Wishly Dkhar at Moowakhu NH-44 (EJH), suspected to be carrying coal beyond permissible limit.

On the same day (May 9) at around 10 pm, during vehicle checking Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-10B-4353) by one Rimiki Sawiong at Deinchynrum NH-44 (EJH), suspected to be carrying coal beyond permissible limit.
