SHILLONG, Nov 5: Two persons were injured in a road mishap at 19th Mile under Umling Block in Ri Bhoi district on Friday. The accident took place when a Maruti Alto collided with a motorbike coming from opposite direction. The driver of the Maruti Alto, Rohan Yumlenban (22) and another person Anup Paul (37) sustained injuries in the accident. The 108 ambulance based in Byrnihat helped in shifting Rohan Yumlenban and Anup Paul to Nongpoh Civil Hospital. Paul was later shifted to GNRC in Guwahati. In a separate incident, two persons were injured when the Mahindra Bolero which was on the way to Shillong from Mairang collided into a truck from behind on a turning at Walulu under Mairang Block, West Khasi Hills District.

Two occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries when the collision happened on November 4 at 5:29 pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Mairang helped in shifting Shemphang Kharlyngdoh (35years/male) and Devonstar Syiemlieh (36 years/male) to Tirot Singh Memorial Hospital, Mairang and then to NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.

A motorist proceeding towards Nongpoh from Guwahati sustained injuries when the motorbike skidded and hit the road divider on a turning at Shangbangla under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi district. The incident happened on November 4 at 6:32 pm. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Nongpoh helped in shifting Sarosh Kumar Bhattacharya (24years/male) to Nongpoh Civil Hospital and then to GMC in Guwahati. A driver of a Maruti Alto 800 sustained injuries when the vehicle hit a wall on the side of the road at Kyrdemkhla under Laitkroh Block, East Khasi Hills District. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Pomlum helped in shifting Guolang Kharsyntiew (24years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital. The incident happened on November 4, 2016 at 5:33 P.M.
