Several injured in road mishaps across State

SHILLONG, Dec 2: A vehicle coming from Jowai and while it was travelling on the Shillong by-pass road hit a truck from behind.

The driver along with a co-passenger sustained injuries during the collision which happen at Lumdiengan under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi district. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Mawryngkneng helped in shifting the driver, Damanme Bang (26) and Lim Shadap (36) to NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. The incident happened on the 2ndof December, 2016 at 1:50 A.M.

In another incident, a Maruti Van (ML04A - 7078) travelling towards Khliehtyrshi from Syntu Ksiar was involved in a collision with another vehicle at Riat Turim under Thadlaskein Block, West Jaintia Hills district. The driver of the Maruti van, Lasangki Rymbai (40) sustained injuries when the collision happened and has been shifted by the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Jowai to Ummulong PHC and then to Shillong Civil Hospital. The incident happened on the 1st of December, 2016 at 11:02 P.M.

Meanwhile, in a hit and run case, Nirala Bibi (30) sustained injuries after she was hit by a moving vehicle at 15th Mile under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District on the 1st of December, 2016 at 2:16 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Byrnihat helped in shifting Nirala Bibi to Byrnihat PHC.
