Several injured in separate road accidents

SHILLONG, Dec 3:  Various persons were injured in accidents across Meghalaya in the last 24 hours.

In the first incident, on Friday evening a pedestrian, Breakson Suja (38) sustained injuries after he was hit by a moving vehicle while walking on the side of the road at Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills District.

The injured pedestrian has been shifted to Khliehriat CHC.

On Friday night at about 10:45 pm, a motorist along with the pillion rider sustained injuries when the motorist lost control of the motorbike after it skidded at 14th Mile under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District.

The motorist, Parak Jyoti Baisha (24) and the pillion rider Danberam Gorah (26) were admitted to Byrnihat PHC.  

On Saturday morning while travelling towards Mendipathar from Phulbari, a motorist fell off from his motorbike after it skidded on a turning at Rabi under Resubelpara Block, North Garo Hills District.

The injured motorist, Abdul Jilal (37) has been shifted to Resubelpara CHC.

In another incident of Saturday morning, a jeep proceeding towards Shillong drove off the road and overturned after if developed some technical sg at Umiam under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District.  

Four occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries in the incident.
