Several villages inundated in Bokota

DEMOW, July 2: Due to rain since the last few days under Demow Circle Office in Bokota mouza, the water level of the rivers has increased due to which the villages in these areas have been affected by floods. Many houses of the Bokota area are under water. In the West Bokota area villages like Ekoratoli, Khamun, Boupialhabi, Holongoni, Sikari Chuk and Chuladhara have been affected by flood. “Every year floods destroy our villages and houses but the government does not take proper steps to solve the problem. Before elections, political leaders make tall promises but seldom fulfill their promises once the elections are over,” said the flood-affected people of the area.
