Shab-e-Barat observed in Tangla

TANGLA, May 22: Muslims around Tangla town observed ‘Shab-e-Barat’ or the ‘night of deliverance’ on Sunday night. Shab-e-Barat, the night of deliverance, falls on the 14th day of the Islamic month of Shaban. Muslims pray in preparation for Ramzan and seek forgiveness of their sins. Special prayers and sermons were held at Bara Masjid and Banseria mosques of the town. Houses and streets were also illumited with candles and strands of electric bulbs to provide a joyful ambiance to the festival.
