Shillong, Sept 3: The central leadership of the BJP has invited Meghalaya leaders of the party to discuss the poll-preparedness of the saffron party in the poll-bound State. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, where party president Amit Shah, tiol general secretary Ram Madhav, North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) chairman Himanta Biswa and BJP tiol spokesperson and in-charge Meghalaya lin Kohli are also expected to be present. According to a statement issued here on Sunday, Shah has invited the State Core Committee consisting of State president Shibun Lyngdoh, State vice president Edmund Sangma, State general secretary Bashailang Khongwir, State office in-charge-cum-State treasurer Sarwan Jhunjhunwala and State executive member Bianca Kyndiah and they will be leaving Delhi on Monday. The election is scheduled in February 2018. Sources on Sunday informed The Sentinel that the BJP tiol president is also expected to fix the date of his visit to Meghalaya.
