Shakespeare's Macbeth to be staged in Assamese

SIVASAGAR, March 4: The Shakespearian tragedy Macbeth will be staged in Assamese at the Sivasagar tya Mandir in the evening on March 6 and March 7 at 6 pm. Directed by Sapunjyoti Thakur, the play has been translated into Assamese by Jibath Hazarika, said Saurav Chaliha, production controller of the play. “We were hopeful that the play would be accepted by the audience,” said Chaliha.
