Shatrughan Sinha challenges BJP to sack him from Bharatiya Janata Party

Guwahati: The inside of Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be in a boiling state with new instances of turbulences and incompatibility between its party members coming out in public. Hints of a fresh internal war can be smelled inside the party as Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha is sounding rebellious lately.

This has also been reported that Sinha is about to attend the January 19 Opposition meet which is being called by West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee. The meeting has been called by the West Bengal minister in her home state.

Notably, Shatrughan Sinha has refused to quit the BJP but has also challenged that the party may sack him. Sinha has also asked his party leaders to opt for a more secular outlook and mend their ways of dealing with issues. He has also made it clear that he is not leaving the party on his will. This latest decision of the BJP MP has come as a reaction to a direction made by BJP wherein he is asked to leave the party if he wants to.

This has also been leaked in certain media reports that this advice of asking Sinha for leaving BJP at his own will was being given by Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and senior party leader Sushil Modi. Modi is quoted to have said that Sinha had “fallen into the bad company of Yashwant Sinha.” This remark by the BJP leader was made during a programme of a TV channel organized recently.

Sushil Modi also said, “Shatrughan Sinha is also my icon but the manner in which he is targeting the BJP, he should quit. He is using all sorts of language against the party which made him the Cabinet minister, Rajya Sabha member for two terms and gave him two terms in the Lok Sabha.”

Notably, Sinha has had criticized his party at different times which also include criticizing PM Narendra Modi for rising fuel prices, demonetization and alleged Rafale scam etc. There is information on Sinha meeting opposition leaders like ailing Lalu Prasad Yadav. Before this, Sinha has also praised Lalu’s son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav by citing him as a “very mature leader”.

Moreover, there are instances of Sinha praising the Congress president Rahul Gandhi as well.
