JORHAT, November 4: Information and Public Relation Department and Jorhat district administration in association with Assam Agriculture University will observe the fourth death anniversary of Asom Rat Dr Bhupen Hazarika on Thursday at the Assam Agriculture University auditorium, Jorhat. The Dr Bhupen Hazarika memorial lecture will be delivered by Shekhar Gupta, Padma Bhushan award winner and eminent jourlist, on ‘Perspective of media and its future in the context of present political scerio of India: The role of new generation in bringing transparency’. On the other hand, Ujani Asom Muslim Kalyan Parishad, Jorhat district committee will observe the fourth death anniversary of Dr Bhupen Hazarika at Kala Bhavan, Jorhat on Thursday. A semir will be held in which Dr Sanjan Ali Hazarika and Dr Kutubuddin Ahmed will participate.
