Shelter home for lost or kidnapped children inaugurated at Doomdooma

Doomdooma: Keshav Baheti Surjuday Children Home which is a safe custody for children kidnapped or losing contact with their parents was inaugurated at Rupaisiding recently by Jugal Kishore Lahoti, a leading citizen of Doomdooma. This children home has been donated by Narayan Prasad Baheti on behalf of Shankarlal Baheti Charitable Trust in memory of his son Keshav Baheti with financial help received from many philanthropists including R K Lahoti.

Later an inaugural function was held under the presidentship of Ramesh Goswami, former President, District Child Welfare Committee (DCWC). In the beginning Pamendra Sharma, president, Managing Committee of Surjuday Children Home welcomed the guests. The meeting was addressed by Asok Agarwal, vice president, Marwari Sammelan, Mandal A, journalist Dhiren Deka among others. At the end of the function, Narayan Baheti on behalf of the trust also donated one air-conditioned coffin to Marwari Sammelan.
