SHG bank linkage programme on book keeping held

GAURISAGAR, July 5 : Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB), Joysagar Branch on Tuesday organized a day-long SHG bank linkage programme  on book keeping at Deojan LP School, Meteka under Gaurisagar Development Block, Sivasagar  in association with  tiol  Bank for  Agriculture and Rural Development (BARD).

The function was presided over by Prabir Kumar Shrutikar, Senior Mager, AGV Bank, Joysagar Branch. In the function, Lakheswar Mahata, District Development Mager (DDM), BARD, briefly discussed about SHG concept and its credit system. Addressing the gathering, Dr Bichitra Kumar Das, Principal, SIRD, Joysagar extension centre, elaborated the concept of SHG and its proper implementation in practical field.

Jourlist and social worker Rajib Dutta rrated the function of SHGs and the impact of SHG contribution in building of tion economy. In the programme, Puspadhar Neog, fince secretary of Krishak Nyas who is also a resource person of SIRD, Joysagar Extension Centre, imparted training to the SHG members about maintaining cash books (double entry), ledger and proceeding book. In the function AGV Bank provided loan sanction letter to the nine SHGs.
