SHGs demand action against murder accused

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), August 20:  A group of 20 women SHGs submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat on Saturday, demanding rigid action against the accused in the murder of Rani Chetia in Golaghat. In this regard a general meeting was held at Khumtai Maj Gaon over the brutal murder of Rani Chetia of Kochugaon under Golaghat police station. Presiding over the meeting, president Nilima Tamuly condemned the act of inhumanity. In the meeting they demanded justice. Later, a large number of activists took out a rally and submitted a memorandum to the DC demanding rigorous punishment to the accused in the Rani Chetia murder case. Notably, Golaghat Police arrested one Muhi Gogoi for alleged involvement in the murder of Rani Chetia on Friday.
