SHGs showcase their products at exhibition in Shillong

SHILLONG, March 3: A two-day exhibition cum sale of products of Self Help Groups (SHGs) nurtured under the ‘Integrated Watershed Magement Programme” implemented by the State Soil and Water Conservation department was iugurated by the Deputy Chief Minister  Rowell Lyngdoh at a function held at U Soso Tham Auditorium here today. Speaking on the occasion, Lyngdoh lauded the Soil and Water Conservation department for organizing such exhibition for self help groups to exhibit and market their products. Different allied government departments like agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry & veteriry, Meghalaya Basin Development Agency, Indian Council of Agriculture Research and also NGOs such as WISE and Bethany Society also participated in the exhibition.
